Super-duper caramel-filled chocolate cakeChocolate cake:
2 cups boiling water
1 c. cocoa, unsweetened
2 3/4 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 c. butter
2 1/4 c sugar
1 1/2 t. vanilla
5 package of rolos
1/4 c butter
enough milk to thin
melt in saucepan
Chopped chocolate pieces, any/all flavor(s) - around 1 cup
Boil water, add cocoa, set aside. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl. In large mixing bowl, blend butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Alternate adding cocoa and flour mixture. Mix until blended.
Pour 1/2 batter in greased/floured springform pan.
Bake at 175 c(350) for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and add melted rolo mixture and chopped chocolate mixture.
Cover with remaining batter. Cook for 30-40 minutes.
Cake will be soft and gooey on the inside while warm. The cake will become more 'solid' as it cools, but the inside will remain super soft. Completely delicious both ways!!
